1954 Ny-Lint, #1600 Hough Payloader in Original Box

1954 Ny-Lint, #1600 Hough Payloader in Original Box

Outstanding pressed steel Ny-Lint Hough (pronounced "huff") overhead payload dumper complete with original box. Unused store stock never played with. Pristine mint in box, complete with both original Ny-Lint hang tag booklets and box insert.

Beautiful deep red, baked enamel surfaces. Features manually cranked double arm lifters with releasable dump bin, three "hydraulic" pistons, heavy tread rubber tires with steel hubs, steering wheel controlled front wheels with encased axle, and original rubber exhaust stack. The pistons are not actual hydraulics. Dump bin is automatically released when it touches the ground. Lever arms are coordinated by an internal double cam which kicks in as the crank is wound.

Includes all six original Ny-Lint decals which are 100% complete, plus both hang tag booklets. One features the entire line of Ny-Lint heavy duty pressed steel construction toys. The other details the history of the Hough Payloader, including facts about the machine, several black and white photographs, and a miniaturized letter message from the company's president Frank G. Hough.

The original box printed in one color (red) shows two detailed illustrations of the Payloader in action. The original $7.95 price still appears on the endflap. This toy was store stock and only recently removed from its original box for the first time.

Size: 15" long with a max. raised height of 13". 7" wide including wheels.
